- Just an intereptor for JIS, SJIS, EUC and UNICODE and fonts is all that is
- required. Such a system will work on any font aware program. There is
- Workbench localization too via the Catalog database. Someone is writing such
- a system for Chinese and Japanese and possibly other non-roman languages.
- I've have tried out the beta and it works great but only supports EUC encoding
- and only has 16 and 18 point Chinese and Japanese fonts right now. I viewed
- pages on IBrowse, Amosaic and Alynx with good results.
-
- But be forwarned, Im just starting as a student of Japanese so I don't know
- how accurate the decoding is.
-
- There is also commercial WB support for Japanese, the info is below. One
- thing that the Amiga aways lacked was support for such languages. Amigas
- could of enjoyed some of the success that the Macs had in Japan if such
- support was available early on.

- Yes! That is true WB works in Japnese. But I did not know about Chinese.
- The very famous system called "ANS". It makes all the WB screen in Japnaese
- mode. And the other is "LKS" and "Daigokai". They can not chage all WB
- system but make some letters in almost every applications.
-
- If you require complete system , please contact SYSTEM COMPBAC located in
- Tokyo.
